I have a Drake TR3 Transceiver, unit comes with matching Drake MS4 Spkr/Power Supply. and manual. Did not extensively Test this Radio, but it tuned up on 80 and 40m with full power in the SSB portion of the bands. Unit receives well, good (expected) stability for a Radio built in the 1970’s, appears to be working as it should. This is a tube type 80-10m SSB/CW/AM transceiver that is capable of 300W PEP. I do not plan to spend any more time Testing this unit, it is being “SOLD AS IS” with no warranty or obligations from the owner or myself. Asking $125.00, I will offer to show anyone who is interested in buying this unit that it works and briefly how to use it.
Also have a Drake T4XC Transmitter with MS4 Spkr/Power Supply. This is a 160-10M tube type “TRANSMITTER ONLY” which was part of a matched set of Drake twins. The R4C Receiver was previously sold at a Hamfest, I briefly tested this unit, was not able to obtain power supply bias voltage or get it to transmit? May be operator error, not sure? Unit powers on, lights up, but see no indication of bias voltage or transmitter keying in Tune, CW, or AM modes? I do not plan to spend any more time Testing this unit, it is being “SOLD AS IS” with no warranty or obligations from the owner or myself. If interested please make me an offer, I will take it to the owner and let you know ASAP if accepted.
