International Space Station after undocking of STS-132

The International Space Station is featured in this image photographed by an STS-132 crew member on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis after the station and shuttle began their post-undocking relative separation.  Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 10:22 CDT on 23 May 2010, ending a seven-day stay that saw the addition of a new station module, Rassvet, replacement of batteries and resupply of the orbiting outpost.

A rearward view of the International Space Station back-dropped by the limb of the Earth.  In view are the station’s four large, gold-colored solar array wings, two on either side of the station, mounted to a central truss structure.  Further along the truss are six large, white radiators, three next to each pair of arrays.  In between the solar arrays and radiators is a cluster of pressurized modules arranged in an elongated T shape, also attached to the truss.  A set of blue solar arrays are mounted to the module at the aft end of the cluster.
