Well, another Field Day has come and gone. We had a great time, worked a lot of stations, ate some great food, and had a lot of fun. Thanks for all who came and participated in the setup, operation, care and feeding, etc. An additional thanks the the wonderful folks in the Piqua Amateur Radio Club for inviting us to be their guests – we had a blast! We operated a 3A station, running two stations on Phone and one on Digital Data (Mostly PSK31) . While we were fully prepared for 24 hours of generator operation, we took a gamble and experimented with some DC power operations (you’ll see my battery packs in some photos – they’re inside orange tool boxes) and we used the generator for little but recharging the battery packs from time to time. A loaner multi-band dipole (Thanks KD8GEH), a loaner 32ft portable aluminum mast (Thanks KC8OZA – oh yeah, that’s me), a bunch of Anderson Power Poles, and we were in business. It was a great time to be had, and I hope to see all of you (and more) again next year. Check out the slideshow, or browse to the Media page for full size pictures.

Thanks to everybody for assistance with the Parade, 10K Run, and the Bike Tour! We hope to see you all next year!

Well it was unanimous, it was time for a new way of managing the website. With the advent of the many content management systems out there, it just made sense to adopt one so we could focus on ‘content’ and stop spending time on ‘layout’. We hope you enjoy the new website, and check back often for updates.
